SUMMARY
As the Global Product Owner for One Customer, you will be a key contributor within a dynamic team driving the execution of Customer Master Data capabilities across Sanofi’s Key markets and International MCOs.
Reporting to the Customer MDM & Reference Data Product Manager, you will work closely with GTMC / Business stakeholders, country teams, data engineers, and analysts to deliver scalable, high-quality customer data 360 solution using agile methodology. You will be responsible for translating global strategy and market requirements into actionable backlog items and ensuring successful delivery and adoption of OneCustomer in Global (ex-US/ex-CN) markets.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and manage the Global (ex-US) OneCustomer product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall Customer MDM vision, roadmap, and strategic priorities.
- Work closely with GTMC, country business stakeholders, and Digital teams to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements for Global (ex-US) markets.
- Translate business, regulatory, and operational needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-ready backlog items.
- Coordinate delivery of Global OneCustomer capabilities using Agile methodology, supporting bi-weekly sprints and quarterly planning cycles ensuring alignment with downstream consuming systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Global (ex-US) countries during onboarding and rollout, supporting scope definition, dependency management, and readiness activities.
- Partner with Data Governance, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure OneCustomer implementations adhere to local regulatory and data privacy requirements.
- Support the implementation and adoption of global data standards, data quality controls, and stewardship processes across markets.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, architects, and vendors to clarify requirements, remove blockers, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Monitor delivery progress, risks, and dependencies, and provide regular status updates to the Customer MDM Product Manager.
- Leverage user feedback, operational insights, and data quality metrics to drive continuous improvement of OneCustomer features and processes.
- Support change management activities by clearly communicating product updates, release impacts, and adoption guidance to stakeholders and consuming systems.
- Contribute to quarterly scope planning and prioritization discussions, ensuring delivery aligns with capacity, budget, and strategic commitments.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in data product management or product ownership within complex, global enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Customer Master Data Management (MDM) and Customer 360 concepts, preferably within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
- Proven experience translating global strategy and market-specific requirements into prioritized product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria using agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with global and country business stakeholders, and digital teams to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements across multiple markets.
- Hands-on experience delivering data products in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog refinement, sprint execution, and quarterly or PI planning cycles.
- Solid knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and data privacy principles, with experience partnering with Privacy, Legal, and Compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.
- Experience working closely with data engineers, architects, analysts, and vendors to drive timely, high-quality delivery and manage dependencies across systems such as CRM, data & analytics platforms, and Consent management systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive mindset focused on adoption, continuous improvement, and value delivery.
