Job purpose
This role is responsible for the creation and implementation of an engagement and communication plan for Sanofi’s Chengdu hub (such as: engagement concept, event roadmap, communication plan, Hub onboarding concept, hub visit framework, etc.) to create a sense of belonging and ignite our employees by connecting to Sanofi’s purpose. To help them understand Business Operations’ vision, how it aligns to the strategy of the company and the role the hub teams play as catalysts of change to modernize Sanofi’s ways of working. To improve the visibility and reputation of the hub towards external audiences with the clear purpose to attract talents.
The role reports directly to the Head of Chengdu Hub and with professional line to the Head of Hub Communications and Engagement and collaborate closely with China Corporate Affairs teams and with the other hub communications and engagement partners. Close partnering and working relationship are desired with the hub leadership team, Head of Business Operations Communications, as well as People & Culture (e.g; Employer Branding) and other (functional) key stakeholders.
A key factor for the success of this role will be the creation and adaptation of internal and external communications platforms and events to foster meaningful engagement with Hub employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Develop communications and engagement roadmap and plan
Develop and implement communications and engagement plan for the Hub, aligned to global communications & engagement strategy for Business Operations and business priorities
Own and maintain a full suite of dedicated Hub communications tools and channels (internal social media, mailbox, SharePoint, webcasts, events, etc.) to ensure effective & timely delivery of communications across the Hub
Own and lead the Chengdu Hub internal event roadmap like Town Halls, All Hands, engagement activities, stakeholder visits, in line with the guidance of the visit protocol.
Seek opportunities to collaborate with Country/MCO Corporate Affairs team to ensure appropriate inclusion and positioning of Hubs stories into the overall Sanofi internal plan and editorial calendar (contribute to regular news flow of articles, regular participation in editorial discussions and decision-making)
Support Chengdu Hub to keep employees engaged & attracting best talents. Collaborate with the Hub Leadership Team to identify the success stories and outcomes that exemplify the transformation, the business successes and the Sanofi values.
Support to Leaders of the Hub regarding communications and employee engagement opportunities
Co-create communications plans for strategic change programs in close collaboration with the Hub LT.
Contribute to the implementation of the external communication plan created by the Country Communications Team that enhances the Hub’s public image and reputation within the shared service sector.
Partner with Employer Branding and Talent Acquisition team to bring the Employer Brand strategy to live for the hub, in alignment with the Global Sanofi Employer Branding and EVP strategy (career page, Talent value proposition, EB-TA plan / hubs)
Collaborate with the Hub Communications and Engagement Partners and with the Country Corporate Affairs teams to identify opportunities and define messages to represent the Hub.
Co-create an engaging and inclusive culture in the hub
Develop initiatives and projects to boost local hub engagement, aligned with global Diversity & Inclusion and social impact goals.
Lead and execute a sustainability plan for the hub, including the We Volunteer platform and Employee Resource Group (ERG) activities. Build and inspire communities across the hub by actively engaging colleagues. Manage associated budget, programs & deliverables.
Establish and track key performance indicators to measure the success of communication and engagement initiatives
Provide regular reports and recommendations to Head of Hub Communications and Engagement and to Hub Head.
About you
Experience and skills:
Proven 5-10 years of work experience in communications in a global organization, ideally in GBS environment or multinational company. Change management experience is a strong plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to counsel and interface successfully with senior executives and peers, in complex, matrixed organizations
Ability to take complex information and strategic projects and create clear communications recommendations and plans and to drive their implementation
Ability to work in transversal, network mode
Proven ability to act wisely under pressure, and in ambiguous settings
Excellent organizational and planning skills, ability to work quickly, prioritizing multiple initiatives, while being flexible to changing needs and priorities
Results-oriented and willing to challenge the status quo
Strong interpersonal and networking skills
Ability to manage budget and timelines
Technical skills:
Digitally savvy - Very good working knowledge of digital communication channels and tools
Education:
Degree in economics, communications, or international relations
Advanced degree in relevant field welcome
Languages: Proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken. Other language is a plus.
